Corruption

A spark of new hope

aktuhin | 3 March 2013 5:13 pm

The one thought that I cannot purge, as I am sitting cross-legged on the street at Shabagh square and chanting death to the collaborators, is this: what will happen when all these war criminals are hanged? Will this put an end to the bickering politics, unbridled corruption and all other looming crisis that the nation is facing? And then, I have this epiphany: what is happening now could be the long-awaited youth awakening to build a beautiful Bangladesh. Details…

Frequent price hike of electricity- who will to bell the cat?

Frequent price hike of electricity- who will to bell the cat?
-Md. Zahidul Islam (Milton).

Recent price hike of electricity has been arisen question among the ordinary people of the country. Several times it has been increased during the period of this regime which is bit irritating for the authority too. It may help to rethink people to reduce the consumption of the electricity but it is necessity to drive the massive operation to cut illegal connection of the electricity throughout the country, especially in the big cities like Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna etc. as well as to stop the bribe of the line man who takes the monthly commission from the subscribers reducing or stealing the units.

Driving anti-corruption operation, government can save huge electricity and to earn huge revenue too. Without resisting or removing irregularity and corruption it’s not possible to attain sufficiency in power in the developing country like Bangladesh. Let’s hope that the concerned will be alert enough to get rid of this problem in near future for the sake of our national interest.

Right to food, shelter, clothing, education and health issue

Because you had laid down in Art. 15 to ensure right to food, shelter, clothing, education and health you did not make it a mandatory provision. For the violation of fundamental rights like equal opportunity and discrimination, one can sue against the state in Higher courts to retain those. In Bangladesh the GoB does not need to obey it, as it is not a fundamental right.

There was drawback. There were many debates relating to this economic social and cultural right. The debate was inaugurated by the Russians, and later the Chinese. Many sates tried to obey right to life comprising these rights. Details…

They will say their prayers peacefully without any thought of going to the private tutors chasing them at that pristine time. After the prayer they will read religious books to recharge their moral domain. Then they will browse internet to read daily newspaper to keep themselves abreast of the happenings from home and abroad and write their feelings on social network websites to share their high ideals with others and be inspired by others high ideals and feelings.
