The quest for a humanised society

Still we are civilised as well as modernised! I don’t know what our social scientists will say about the current situation of our society. But I am sorry to say that we are living in a de-humanised society.

Through media we can learn that everyday so many people are being killed in our country. Social crimes are increasing day by day. The women and children are the major victims of cruelty and barbarism. Moral values are degrading day by day. Drug addiction among the youth (our future generation) is increasing. Social unrest, tension and apprehension are increasing day by day. Truly speaking, a felling of insecurity among the people is growing.

Is this social decadence our ultimate destiny? Is there any way-out? We often articulate that human being is the best creature of the creator. So, it is our responsibility to build up a humanised society. Will our political parties, civil society organisations, mass media, educational institutes, religious leaders and senior citizens take necessary initiatives in this regard?
