Road accident has become one of the common phenomena of our country these days! If we notice some recent issues or even the older ones, most of the time we can see the news of road accidents. It might happen because of unplanned roads or even due to the huge number of alleys in the city, full of huge population. Sometimes the roads are not strong enough to carry heavy transport. Eventually the damaged roads claim lives and the number is really huge.

Unskilled drivers are as much to blam as are the damaged roads. Yesterday evening at around 08:20 pm, when I was coming back from a class with my teacher, a Dhaka University journalism faculty, a truck rushed towards us all but hitting the rickshaw. We were lucky enough to avoid being the next day’s headline.

But it really doesn’t matter! If the authority still doesn’t stop giving fake licenses for bribe, this state of affairs will continue and the killing will never stop. Hope, the authority will be concerned enough to re-think about the whole cycle of problems, especially about road construction, skilled drivers and finally traffic management.
