Bangladeshi people have always proven themselves as a brave nation.They fought against Pakistan even when they were not enriched with weapon and power! Fighting against all the odds, they earned the liberty and gave birth to an independent country ‘Bangladesh’.

Seven valiant fighters were awarded the highest recognition of bravery of the Bangladesh Army, Bir Sreshtho amongst them Mostafa Kamal (Bengali: মোস্তফা কামাল), better known as Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal, was a sepoy in the Bangladesh Army during the Liberation War (According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). But matter of great regret is that his actual name should be Mohammad Mostafa (16.12.1949 – 18.04.1971) which has been mentioned in the different places like an editorial page of our English daily headed by ‘The day of Birshreshtha’ duly published on the 18th April’2011 (http://www.daily-sun.com/details_yes_18-04-2011_April-18:-The-day-of-Birshrestha-Mostafa_193_1_5_1_1.html). It may be added that there is a playground named ‘Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium’ has been set up in Dhaka.

Finally, I would earnestly request the concern ministry/authority of the government to investigate the matter immediately and to declare the actual name of the hero to publish, so that our next generation may not be misguided. This is the high time to take initiative to protect our history of liberation in real sense.
