DSE opens week low

Dhaka, Jul 15 (bdnews24.com)— Dhaka Stock Exchange key index ended Sunday's trade 163.81 points lower triggering protests by the retail investors.

The DGEN closed 3.93 percent down at 4001.14 points on the week's opening day.

Shares and mutual funds worth around Tk 1.38 billion changed hands with prices of 14 issues gaining, 243 declining and one remaining unchanged.

The continuous fall in prices triggered a 2-hour-long protest by the retail investors that started around 1pm.

The DSE benchmark index had ended Thursday's trade 87.25 points higher.
